Description

With her previous work Je pense comme une fille enlève sa robe, Perrine Valli addressed sexual identity from the perspective of the prostitute. This issue remains at the heart of this new production but rather than looking at it from a societal point of view, the choreographer addresses sexual identity from the perspective of its cultural representations: mythology, religious discourse, couples’ iconography, images of the relationship between men and women…

Alongside this topic, Perrine Valli crafts movement and space aesthetics where narration and abstraction come together, influencing and generating each other, like a game where the story told and the form are built, enhanced and emancipated thanks to the disruptions that each provoke within the other.
